EKA Group

EKA Group is a family multi-business organization that formed in 1946, which operates in the building materials and systems markets of the construction sector. The company grows not only in Cyprus but also in Greece, Dubai, and Qatar.

EKA Group’s mission is to lead the building materials and systems market by offering innovative and value for money total solutions in Cyprus and in selected overseas markets.

Challenge

Based in Limassol, EKA Group’s main Warehouse, located in an industrial area of Limassol, consists of the main warehouse as well as additional covered and uncovered areas in which the supplies and products are stored.

The security system that was used to survey the warehouse area was outdated and needed to be replaced, so EKA Group turned to ITO Tech and Private Security Services Ltd to plan and deploy a security solution based on ITO’s extensive experience and knowledge.

Solution

Working closely with EKA’s personnel, ITO’s team designed a solution to meet the company’s requirements having in mind safety and security. The implemented solution consists of Dahua Network Cameras that have motorized lenses, support motion detection and advanced analytics.

Because the company’s warehouse consists of large multilayer shelves expanding to the ceiling of the warehouse that store products as well as sizeable stacks of materials, it is critical to monitor every corridor as well as every part of the warehouse, to prevent any issues that may arise, while keeping workers safe and the products in excellent condition.

Additionally, motion detection was enabled on a schedule to alert in case of accidental or unauthorised motion inside the property.

Cameras were installed following a plan to survey the main warehouse both indoors and outdoors from every angle.

Result

Following ITO’s security solution integration, EKA’s warehouse is now surveyed from multiple angles on a 24-hour basis.
